Storms wreak havoc in eastern NC, our boats damaged but fleet survives

.

Yesterday a line of severe thunderstorms slammed much of the US East Coast. Although our boats are secured quite well to ground anchors, some of them got blown over or tossed free. The damage is relatively minor and we'll have all the boats in sailing condition for this fall semester.

It's true many people in this area have much bigger problems due to the storms. We are thankful for the good fortune to have boats to worry about in the first place, and our hopes & sympathy go out to those whose homes were damaged. We would also like to express out thanks to the people at Bridgeton Harbor who helped set our boats back up & secure again.
